Aloo tiki Naan burger

Crispy and crunchy Aloo tiki naan burger served with Achari(pickle seasoning) Seasoned yogurt and pickled onions. Place this burger in between two mini naan’s and enjoy. Great for pleasing guests and a perfect hit recipe for a party main course.

Ingredients for Aloo tiki:
4 russet potatoes boil, peel the skin and gently mash it and set a side.
1/2 cup frozen peas-Mash and set aside
1/4 cup green chili, ginger and coriander paste
salt to taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tsp oil

Ingredients for Slurry (coating Aloo tiki):
1/4 cup All purpose flour
1/4 cup corn startch
pinch of salt
water as required
-Mix all the ingredients to make a thick slurry
-Bread crumbs for coating the burger
-Oil for frying

Ingredients for Achari spiced yogurt:
1 tbsp MDH Achari Aloo Spice masala (store bought)
1/2 cup full fat yogurt or Mayo
1tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste
-Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Pickled Onions:
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
1 cup sliced onions
pinch of salt
1/2 slice of fresh lemon juice
-Mix all the ingredients and set aside.

-Heat a pan with oil add cumin seeds allow it to splutter and then green chili, ginger ,coriander paste, peas, salt, turmeric, fry for couple of mins.
-Add mash potatoes mix it evenly and set side to cool.
-Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and make them into burger patties.
-Dip aloo patties in the slurry coat it with bread crumbs evenly and fry in hot oil until golden brown and crunchy.
-Follow the process for rest of the burger patties and transfer onto a plate.

Assemble Aloo tiki burger:
-Heat two store bought mini naan for few mins. On one side of the naan apply achari yogurt spread it evenly add pickled onion and place the aloo tiki. Cover with another naan and enjoy.

Tips and tricks:
-You can use lettuce leaf instead of naan for low carb option.
-You can also add sliced tomato, sliced cheese and store bought pickles.
