Mooli Paratha

Mooli(White Radish/Daikon) paratha is prepared using grated radish stuffed in a whole wheat flatbread and seasoned with some Indian spices.

Prep time:10mins
cook time:20mins
Makes 6-7

Step 1:Ingredients for dough:
1 and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
salt to taste
water to knead

Step 1-In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients and knead it into a soft thick dough. Cover and Set aside.

Step 2-For the filling:
2 radish (wash, peel the skin and grate. Set aside)
2 green chili finely chopped
1tsp dry mango powder
1/2tsp red chili powder
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste

Step 2-Heat a pan and add all the filling ingredients and sautee until the moisture is evaporated. Allow the mixture to cool down completely and set aside.

Procedure:
-Place a skillet on a medium heat.
-From step (1) divide the dough into 6-7 equal parts.Take one part of the dough ball and roll it into a circle.
– Add a spoonful of the radish mixture from step 2 and close the edges of the dough and roll out into7 inch diameter flat bread .
-Place the flatbread onto the hot skillet cook on both sides evenly. Apply some ghee.
-repeat the same process for rest of the dough balls.
-Serve hot with some curry of your choice or with some plain yogurt or chutney.
