Dry fruit and nuts modak is one of the guilt free healthy nutritious festive dessert. For this recipe i am using dates,figs,apricots and roasted nuts.

12 soft deseeded dates roughly chopped
6-7 soft figs roughly chopped
6-7 apricots chopped
1/4 cup mixed roasted nuts(cashews,pistacho,almonds roughly chopped)
3tbsp desiccated coconut(optional)
1)Heat a pan and dry roast all the nuts for couple of minutes and set aside.
2)In a blender add dates ,apricots and figs and make a fine paste set aside in a bowl. Similarly coarsely blend the nuts.
3)Heat a non stick pan with ghee on a medium to low flame and then add date paste fry for few minutes along with nuts.
Mix well so that all the nuts and dates mixture is incorporated well.
4)Allow the mixture to cool down and divide the dough into 10-12 parts.
5)Grease your palm with few drops of ghee and make a bite size modak.
-You can use a modak mould to get a perfect shape.
