Brussels sprouts and shallots fry a quick side dish for cooked quinoa or steamed rice or roti. Season it with pepper,garlic and red chili powder. simple yet flavorful.

1 lb Brussels sprouts(outer leaves removed and thoroughly washed.Finely shred or chop,set aside)
1 tbsp oil
3 shallots finely sliced
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1/2 tsp pepper powder
3 garlic cloves grated(skin removed)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1)In a skillet heat oil add shallots,garlic,cumin seeds,salt and saute until onions are soft
2)Add brussels sprouts ,mix well fry until it is cooked for about 8-10 mins or until done.
3)Finish off by adding pepper powder and red chili powder.Combine everything together saute for a minute and serve hot as a side for cooked quinoa or steamed rice or roti.
