Today i did prepare bottle gourd curry with roasted sesame seeds powder.It is simple and a healthy dish.

cook time :25 mins
1 large bottle gourd-Wash ,peel and dice into small pieces and set aside.
3-4 tbsp roasted sesame seed powder
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp Urad dal
1/2 tsp Channa dal
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 dry red chili or 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1)Heat a pan on a medium flame and add the seasoning ingredients allow the mustard seeds to crackle and dal to turn golden brown.
2)Then add the the bottle gourd ,turmeric and salt.Cook it covered on a medium to low flame stirring occasionally for 20 mins or until it is soft.
3)Finish off by adding roasted sesame seed powder.stir thoroughly.Switch off the flame and serve hot with steamed rice or brown rice or Quinoa.
