Cabbage Peas Curry

A quick and easy curry with mild and delicious flavors.It goes well with Rice,Roti and Quinoa.

Time:20 mins

Serves 3-4


Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups  Shredded cabbage(wash and set aside)

3 slit Green chilies

curry leaves (optional)

1/2 cup frozen peas(thaw)

2 tbsp shredded ginger


For seasoning:

1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

1/2 tsp Urad dal

1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

1 Red chilli

1/2 tsp oil

pinch of turmeric

salt to taste


Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds allow them to splutter then add rest of the seasoning wait until they turn slightly brown.
  2. Then add slit green chilies,shredded ginger,curry leaves,turmeric,cabbage,salt,peas and mix well.
  3. Cover the pan and cook on medium heat for 10 more minutes until the cabbage is tender.Stir occasionally.Turn off the heat once done.
  4. Serve hot with Roti,Quinoa or rice
